Review – Beauty Big Bang 2Pcs/Set Metal Handle Jelly Nail Art Stamper & Scraper Nail Stamping Tool

Hi all

Long time no see (unless you follow me on Instagram (@purplewolfnails). I’ve not been motivated to write a blog post for quite a while. So what has persuaded me to come out of hibernation? Well, I was recently approached by Beauty Big Bang who kindly offered to send me some items to review and I didn’t feel like I could pass up this opportunity. During my hiatus from blogging my love for all things nails has not wavered!

For starters I have one of their stamper and scraper sets.

This is a squishy stamper that picks up images best when using a rolling motion and transfers them best when pressed onto the nail.

It is easy to see through the stamper for image placement.

The scraper glides over the image without being too flimsy. One minor issue I would note is that the lid of the stamper was cracked when it arrived. Luckily this has not damaged the head of the stamper.

If you fancy treating yourself to this or any of the other items Beauty Big Bang has to offer please feel free to use my 10% discount code PWN10.

You can find the link to this set above or search for product code SKU J2914TM-1A on BBB’s website.

If you’ve tried this stamper or other items from BBB let me know what you recommend.

Hopefully it won’t be too long before I’m back again with another review.

Until then, may your nails never break!

Brown polish by OccasioNail

Hi guys

Today I have a review of another polish I was sent by the lovely Linda of OccasioNail

This is a chocolate brown polish filled with tiny scattered holographic glitter and small and slightly larger gold and pink hex glitters. Considering the amount of glitters that are in this polish it applied easily and was opaque in two coats. This polish dried very textured so I applied two coats of top coat to even it out. This is a very pretty polish and would be a lovely shade for autumn.

I do not know if this polish has a name and will edit my blog if it does. If it is unnamed what would you call this polish?

Until next time, Lou x

Purple polish by OccasioNail

Hi guys

Today I’m reviewing a polish I was sent by the lovely Linda of OccasioNail who makes small batches of polish in Wales.  She is happy to make bespoke polishes for any event with your input.  As well as polish Linda also paints and sells false nails for those who want the glam look of longer nails but do not find it practical to have long nails in everyday life.

This polish is a dusty blue toned purple which dried to a satin effect. It was neither shiny or matte but somewhere in between. The formula was a little thick and tricky to work with at first but I added a couple of drops of thinner and this helped.  This polish has the tiniest flecks of holographic and opalescent sparkle running throughout. These flecks are definitely more noticeable with a glossy top coat. This polish lasted 5 days with only minimal tip wear and would have lasted longer if I’d let it!

I applied 3 coats to even this polish out and get full opacity and topped it all with the Rimmel Ultra Shine Top Coat to bring out the sparkle.

The first picture shows the polish before I applied top coat, in artificial light.  The rest of my pictures show the polish with top coat.

This polish doesn’t yet have a name. Do you have any name ideas for it?

Next time I’ll be reviewing another polish by OccasioNail.

Until then, Lou x

Polish Me Royalty Worst Heroes EVER! Collection Mistah J

Hi guys

Mistah J is the seventh and final polish in the Polish Me, Royalty Worst Heroes EVER! collection.

Mistah J is a deep, intense purple with tiny hints of micro glitter which give this polish extra dimension.

As a self-confessed lover of all things purple (I bet some of you were surprised, right? 😂) I knew that this polish would probably be my favourite from this collection. What I didn’t expect was for it to be an easy one-coat polish. That’s right, my pictures show one coat of Mistah J topped with Sally Hansen Insta Dri top coat.

I’m so happy with this polish and am regretting putting it on over a peel-off base coat.

All of the Polish Me, Royalty are 5-toxin free, 100 cruelty free, vegan friendly and handmade. They are available in either 6ml or 10ml bottles. I got this entire collection in the smaller sized bottles and they are adorable. Polish Me, Royalty packages are always well wrapped and presented. You can tell that a lot of love goes into each polish and parcel.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my posts about this collection. If you have these polishes or are tempted by them which is your favourite?

All of the polishes in this collection I have bought with my own money. They are still available both as a set and individually on the Polish Me, Royalty website which I have linked in the first paragraph of each of my posts.

Until next time, Lou x

Polish Me, Royalty Worst Heroes EVER! Collection The Suicide Squad

Hi guys

The Suicide Squad is the sixth polish in the Polish Me, Royalty Worst Heroes EVER! collection. The Suicide Squad is a squishy deep purple jelly polish with tiny black and silver glitter.  This polish was very sheer on the first coat but built up for me to be opaque in three coats.

This is a thermal polish which changes to a sheer purple when warm. In its warm state this polish is so sheer I could see my nail line.

The colour of this polish in its cold state is pretty but for me it never reached the colour that it is in the bottle which is a shame. Nevertheless I do love thermal polishes and this is a pretty one.

My pictures show three coats with Seche Vite top coat.

I think Spring is the perfect season for thermal polishes when there’s still a nip in the air. Do you agree?

Polish Me, Royalty Worst Heroes EVER! Collection Neva Miss

Hey guys

Neva Miss is the fifth polish in the Polish Me, Royalty Worst Heroes EVER! Collection

Neva Miss is a deep red jelly polish packed with tiny holographic hex glitters with the odd slightly larger black hex glitters. It reminds me of strawberries.

Although this is a textured polish it applied well and was opaque in two coats.

I’m not the biggest fan of red polishes on my own nails (although I love red polish on others) but this polish may have converted me.

My pictures show two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Is there a colour of polish that you didn’t wear that was changed by one polish? If so, what was the polish that changed your mind?

Until next time Lou x

Polish Me, Royalty Worst Heroes EVER! Collection Croc’s A Killa

Hey guys

Croc’s A Killa is the fourth polish in the Polish Me, Royalty Worst Heroes EVER! Collection.

This is a gold magnetic polish with green shimmer running through it.  This polish was easy to apply and the magnetic effect is obvious.  The green shimmer also adds a different dimension to this polish and translates to the nail.

This is a very pretty polish and I do love the effect of magnetic polishes.

In my pictures I am wearing two coats of Croc’s A Killa with no top coat.

Does anyone else still  love magnetic polishes?

Until next time, Lou x

Polish Me Royalty Worst Heroes EVER! Collection Ha Ha Ha!

Hey Guys

Ha Ha Ha! is the third polish in the Polish Me, Royalty Worst Heroes EVER! collection.

Ha Ha Ha! has a sheer, lightly tinted base which is not at all thick or difficult to work with. This polish is packed with flakies. One layer of Ha Ha Ha! could be worn as a topper over a creme polish but in my pictures I am wearing four thin coats. When I look at my nails the main colour I see is teal. But on closer inspection you can see that there are purple, gold, green and blue flakies. Polish Me, Royalty describes these as “ultra chrome chameleon” flakies. I have not noticed any colour shifting while I have been wearing this polish but I can see a slight colour shift in my pictures. The lack of colour shifting does not detract from the prettiness of this polish.

If you have tried this polish did you notice a more obvious colour shift?

Until next time, Lou x

Grace-full Nail Polish Louise

Hi guys
I’ve just found this post which for some reason didn’t publish when I thought it did.
I had to buy this polish after finding it on rainbow-connection.co.uk. Not only does it have the same name as me but it’s also a blue-leaning purple holographic polish and purple is my favourite colour. After seeing it for the first time my husband described this polish as “you in a bottle”.
The swatches show two easy coats plus base and top coats.
Have you bought polishes named after you?
Bye for now, Louise x

Polish Me, Royalty Worst Heroes EVER! Collection Daddy’s Lil Monster

Hi guys

Daddy’s Lil Monster is the second polish in Polish Me, Royalty Worst Heroes EVER! collection. This is a baby blue polish with white, light pink and mid tone pink medium sized hex glitters, light pink square glitters, purple and pink small hex and micro glitters and pink stars. The first coat was thick and slightly gloopy so I added a little thinner and even then the formula was tricky to work with. This polish did not paint on easily, resulting in streaking. I applied three coats for an even finish and the end result was worth the extra effort. My pictures show three coats with Seche Vite top coat which smoothed out the glitters.

Do you have any of this collection? Have you tried this polish? Did you find it tricky to apply?

Until next time, Lou
